Bespoke Tegula Block Paving with Historic Well Feature - CeredigionBefore

A truly unique Tegula block paving transformation completed by the West Wales Paving team at a beautiful character property in Ceredigion.

Our customer wanted to transform the existing outdoor area into an elegant, practical and welcoming entrance while retaining the traditional charm of the property.

Working closely with the customer, our design team selected Tegula block paving, using a blend of warm, traditional tones to complement the property’s natural stonework and create an attractive, aged appearance.

During the excavation and groundworks, our team uncovered an unexpected feature - an original disused well that had been hidden beneath the existing surface.

Rather than covering it over, we worked with the property owners to incorporate the well into the finished design, turning an unexpected discovery into a beautiful focal point.

The well was carefully integrated into the new paving layout and finished with a circular glass cover and lighting from beneath, allowing this piece of the property’s history to remain visible and become a distinctive feature of the outdoor space.

The surrounding Tegula paving was carefully laid to create a consistent finish, with particular attention given to the detailing around the circular well feature and the property’s existing stonework.

The completed transformation combines traditional paving, thoughtful design and bespoke craftsmanship, creating a stunning entrance that celebrates the history and character of the property.

This project is a wonderful example of how West Wales Paving works closely with customers to create outdoor spaces that are not only practical and attractive but also completely individual to their home.

From initial design and groundworks through to bespoke paving installations and finishing details, our team can help bring your vision to life.
